Welcome to Phantom Cards UK! We're passionate about all things Pokémon and Trading Card Games (TCG), and we are thrilled to share our story with you. Our journey began with a childhood fascination that has blossomed into a business dedicated to bringing Pokémon fans together. Phantom Cards UK was established in October 2022, but our story truly began long before that.
Founder’s Message
Our journey began in the 90s, during the Pokémon craze, when we spent countless hours collecting and trading cards on the school playground, often without realizing the true value of what we were exchanging. While we paused our collection for several years, our love for Pokémon never faded. In 2016, while clearing out our parents’ garage, we rediscovered our old Pokémon cards, reigniting our passion for the hobby. This spark eventually led us to launch Phantom Cards UK, alongside our full-time jobs.
Starting this business has been an incredibly rewarding journey—one filled with passion, dedication, and determination. While it hasn’t always been easy, with many weekends and late nights spent balancing our day jobs and growing the business, the joy we experience from seeing the Pokémon community thrive makes it all worthwhile. We’ve built something special through our face-to-face pop-ups across Nottingham and Lincoln, and we’re deeply grateful to all the customers who have supported us along the way.
What started as a small passion project has grown beyond our expectations, and it’s thanks to the amazing people we’ve met and the incredible community we’ve nurtured. As we look to the future, we’re excited to expand our range of trading card games and reach even more fans across the East Midlands. Our dream is to open a brick-and-mortar store, a dedicated space where fans can come together to trade, chat, and celebrate all things Pokémon and TCG.
